Question : With reference to the file template 23_Itemized Price and 24_Price Note, could you please clarify the following: 1) Could you please confirm if the total amount of the offer shall be equal to the sum of A2 + B2 + C2 + D2 + E2, as specified in table S2? 2) if so, could you please confirm the desirable candidate's effort for E2 - First Integration preparation? We noticed that in Itemized Price and Price note templates the % of desirable candidate's effort is only specified for A2 + B2 + C2 + D2, totalling 100%.

Réponse : 1) Yes this is correct. 2) The sentence on the Price Note and in the Itemized Prices document (Preamble, page 3) was not phrased correctly; this is what should have been included. "Maximum indicative percentages of efforts have been provided (4 out of 5 items) as guidance: 40% for A2, 10% for B2, 40% for C2 and 10% for D2".

Question : The requirement REQ-MFC-35 for the ITT for the global coupled systems seems to be referring to regional systems only. 'The Contractor shall compare the performances of its regional system with the other CMEMS systems over the overlapping area (including the global MFC system). This comparison must be documented and planned in the Annual Activity Plan.' Could you confirm this does not apply to GLO-CPL, which is a global service.

Réponse : There is a formulation error on REQ-MFC-35. It should read : 'The Contractor shall compare the performances of its system with the other CMEMS systems over the overlapping area (including the global MFC system). This comparison must be documented and planned in the Annual Activity Plan.' This has to be understood as is: for the GLO-CPL MFC, a comparison to GLO-HR MFC is expected as a minimum. A specific document called "Comparison on overlapping area" is indicated in the list of deliverables (table 4) - covering REQ-MFC-35.

Question : Question 1: The ITT includes [REQ-MFC- 45] which requires some topics to be addressed. The Obj-2 on horizontal resolution is surprising to us as we had not expected that coupled global models will be operating at km scale. We therefore are working on the understanding that this is included in error, and that this only applies to regional systems. Could that be confirmed please. Question 2: REQ-MFC- 46 similarly lists some indicative advances. Some seem well-suited and important for global forecasting systems (i.e Obj 1 - 4), but Obj 5 - 7 seem only relevant to regional systems that are not yet coupled. Could it be confirmed please that there is no intention to enforce the development of non-hydrostatic global models, or global models that have high frequency direct interfaces to coastal systems? Question 3: Could it be confirmed that REQ-MFC-21 has been included by mistake and does not apply to GLO-CPL. If it is intended to be included, and it is the intention to have tidal outputs globally at 15' frequency could clarification of what a tide solution 'based on the combination to the physical analysis and forecast system' means be provided please.

Réponse : REQ-MFC-21, REQ-MFC-45 & REQ-MFC-46 were mistakenly included in this SoW and shall therefore not be taken into account when drafting the proposal.
